Oh the places you'll go...

 Hi, my name is Aly! I am 100% obsessed with traveling. For the past four years or so I've seen some amazing places and met amazing people along the way. I've always been interested in traveling (I had print outs of different cities on my childhood wall for quite some time) but never thought I could make it happen because I didn't know anyone who really traveled. My husband is the very best travel partner- he is the one who first encouraged that we travel. After our first Europe trip I quickly became the travel planner for all of our future excursions. 

Something to note: I LOVE doing research on a potential travel itinerary. I not only double check my hotels on two websites before booking- I read at least the 50 most recent reviews from both sites, I check out the street view and surrounding area (shout out to my bff Google Maps), and I check instagram tags. I guess you could say I am very through.  

I thank a lot of my successful trips to other bloggers that I've found through Pinterest who share best areas to stay in for that city, restaurant and bar recommendations, and the do's and do not's. So hopefully this reaches someone else just as travel obsessed! I promise to try not to be too wordy and tell too many stories no one cares about (I hate that- just give me the best details!). Barcelona!

 Let me start by saying I will forever be impartial to Barcelona because it was my first European travel location and I have been in love ever since. The tapas, cheap wine, siestas in the middle of the day, architecture, and paella are my major highlights! I have details below from where to stay to where to eat/drink. Where to stay? We stayed in the Gothic Qaurter- El Born to be precise. While this is a hike to walk to La Rambla (about 20 minute walk) and La Sagrada Familia (about 30 minute walk)- it is much less touristy and has the most amazing architecture and small tapas bars. We stayed at El Born Guest house which was super budget friendly and the staff was amazing. I enjoy staying at smaller local places because I find they are much more likely to give suggestions of things to do that the locals enjoy. There is no elevator and I believe the rooms were on the fourth floor so do prepare but it was a nice quiet stay with a balcony as an added bonus! El Born Guest House by Casa Conse

Prague!

Prague in winter looked like a fairytale book- add that we were able to experience the Christmas markets and it was amazing! We stayed close to the Old Town Square to be in close walking distance to the big sites and tours. We were there in early January and it is very cold (especially for two Miami natives) but there is plenty of mulled wine and hot chocolate to warm you up. Where to stay? We stayed at Hotel Hastal Prague Old Town which was very walkable to the Astronomical Clock and Old Town Hall Tower. It is a charming smaller hotel that DOES have an elevator and a lot of charm. They had a great breakfast every morning in the hotels bar area. The staff was very friendly and pointed us in the right direction for meals and exploring the city.
